The Guillermo Ramos Núñez library forms part of the Sugarcane Information and Documentation Service (SEICA), responsible for the information on sugarcane in Colombia. Its objective is to support the Center’s research, supplying the researchers and the personnel linked to the sugar sector with the bibliographic information essential for carrying out their projects and activities.
SEICA participates in the agricultural information systems and networks and is the documentation center responsible for the information on sugarcane in Colombia. Therefore, the emphasis is on acquiring all documentation referring to this crop, processing it and placing it at the disposal of the sugarcane community. The services are provided in the Guillermo Ramos Núñez library, located at the CENICAÑA Experiment Station, in an 8-h day with no break, from 7.30 am-4.30 pm from Monday-Friday.

Who are the users of the library?

- Internal: Cenicaña staff.
- Sugar sector: Staff from sugar mills, cane suppliers (contributors to Cenicaña) and companies from the sector.
- External: Libraries, university students through interlibrary agreements, research institutions and the community in general.
