Varietal program
It began activities in 1979 with the mission of obtaining varieties that express their genetic potential in specific environments and that improve the productivity and profitability of the commercial sugarcane plantations in the Cauca River Valley.

Its vision is to be a program that produces varieties that improve the competitiveness of the sugar and alcohol sectors, recognized by the Colombian sugar industry and the national and international scientific community as a program of excellence.
