Technical capabilities to optimize irrigation
The event, aimed at suppliers of the Manuelita Sugar Mill, had as its main objective to strengthen technical capabilities to optimize the application and planning of irrigation.
The topics covered included different irrigation systems and their application efficiencies, methodologies for determining the appropriate time for irrigation, the concept of water balance, and proposals for measuring flow rates and flow measurements in the field.
This knowledge transfer promotes a comprehensive view of irrigation as a strategic tool for sustainable, profitable production with rational use of water resources.

Field practice: ltillage work in sugarcane cultivation
The training, divided into two groups, was aimed at area managers, agricultural engineering analysts, foremen, and tractor drivers from the Carmelita Sugar Mill. The sessions focused on reinforcing the participants' technical understanding of the best practices for tilling sugarcane fields, emphasizing the importance of timing to reduce soil compaction and achieve optimal results.
Proper tillage is essential to improve hydraulic and aeration properties, facilitating water availability and nutrient absorption, and promoting root development to obtain optimal crop growth conditions.

Introduction to sugarcane irrigation: a new school for irrigators begins
At the Carmelita Sugar Mill facilities, a new school for irrigators was launched, aimed at foremen and irrigators of the mill.
The activity aimed to improve skills in irrigation operation. Topics covered included an introduction to sugarcane irrigation, a presentation of different irrigation systems, and the fundamental concept of irrigation depth.
This training focuses on strengthening the technical foundations of field personnel to optimize efficiency and precision in the application of water resources in the crop.
