Irrigation Systems Training: Basic Concepts

With the aim of continuing to contribute to the efficiency of water use and directly contribute to the sustainable productivity of sugarcane cultivation, Cenicaña carried out the first theoretical training session on basic concepts of irrigation systems at Hacienda Oriente.

The day, aimed at irrigators and field supervisors, had as its main objective to strengthen knowledge in the water resource managementEmphasis was placed on the critical importance of carrying out irrigation work in a timely manner and with the required quality.

Training in the Expert Fertilization System – SEF Version 3.0

The activity was carried out with the objective of motivating the use of the tool SEF Version 3.0 and unify technical concepts on nutrition and fertilization, encouraging the correct and rational use of fertilizers.

Led by researcher Magda Narváez of the Agronomy Program, the event was attended by participants from the field and supply teams, including zone managers, supply assistants, and the head of water resources at Ingenio Manuelita.

SEF Version 3.0 facilitates the interpretation of soil analyses, allowing technicians to obtain accurate recommendations in minimal time, thereby optimizing nutrient management and crop productivity.
