Objective:

Within the framework of the III International Meeting of Science, Technology and Innovation, the Congress on Biotechnology, Bioeconomy and Environment is being held. In Cenicaña, the 2nd day of this congress will be held with the theme: Bioprocesses, bioproducts and biomaterials for the agro-industrial sector.

We are allies of the Government of Valle del Cauca in the realization of the second day of the Congress of Biotechnology, Bioeconomy and Environment whose main theme will be bioprocesses, bioproducts and biomaterials for the agroindustrial sector.

The Department of Valle del Cauca, through the Departmental Council of Science, Technology and Innovation - CODECTI - together with the Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation will carry out this wonderful activity, within the framework of the Knowledge Agenda of COP 16, in Cali, Buenaventura, Cartago, Buga, Tuluá and Palmira. The purpose is to establish meeting spaces for participation and interaction between civil society, the scientific community, the productive sector and government entities, in order to strengthen the processes of dialogue and discussion between them, thus evidencing processes of generation, use, exchange and transfer of knowledge in accordance with the Departmental Public Policy on Competitiveness, Science, Technology and Innovation of our department, as well as the National Policy on Social Appropriation of Knowledge and the National Policy on Science, Technology and Innovation of Minciencias and the International Mission of Sages.

Through presentations, debates and experiences, representatives from the country's main research centres will contribute to a regional discussion on the sustainability of the coffee, palm, flower and sugar cane production sectors.
