Precision work

Precision work improves the efficiency that Cenicaña evaluates are as follows:

Survey with RTK topography kit

The topographic survey is the positional and altitudinal record of a property with the objective of determining its shape, size and altimetry. As an alternative to the use of a traditional surveying station, a survey with an RTK topography kit is currently being used, which, through GNSS technology, allows surveying tasks quickly and efficiently.

Floor preparation with precision

The preparation of the soils for planting crops is defined as the set of tasks that are carried out to break, decompact and aerate the soil and leave it in adequate conditions for the development of the root system, also promoting adequate anchorage of the plants and conditions optimal for its development. Precision preparation tasks in sugarcane are carried out using an autoguide or autopilot system to guide the tractor-implement assembly through the field according to a pattern of routes defined in the field and that depend on the work, the implement and the working width

Within the preparation, one of the tasks that most requires the guidance of the tractor-implement is the furrowing. This consists of drawing parallel grooves within a batch spaced at the same distance where the seed or vegetative material is sown. The alignment of the tractor with respect to the initial reference line marked in the field during the execution of the work is essential to perform the work correctly.

The benefits of using the autoguide system in agricultural work that require guidance are the increase in precision in the execution of the work, reduction in the number of passes needed to cover the entire field, increase in the effectiveness of the work, increase in the time of use of the tractor, decrease in fuel consumption, increase in the effective planting area, minimize crop damage and reduce driver fatigue.

Fertilization with precision

It is a device adapted to the tractor-fertilizer or fertilizer assembly that electronically controls the amount of input or fertilizer product applied in the field. For application of solid band fertilizer, the system consists of a fertilizer with the same components of the conventional fertilizer plus a power supply and connection cables, a screen or monitor, a GNSS receiver, a high-pressure hydraulic oil filter. The hydraulic motor of the conventional fertilizer is replaced by one with an electronic sensor that measures the engine revolutions.

Harvest accurately

The harvest is one of the most important tasks in the cultivation of sugarcane because it guarantees the continuous flow of sugarcane for processing in sugar, ethanol and energy. Due to the fact that this work demands logistic, personnel, machinery and other resources, there are often problems of soil compaction, trampling of the strain, accidents, operator fatigue and in some cases poor work performance. Many of these problems are due to the manual guidance of the field harvester.

To reduce these recent problems, the installation of automatic pilots to guide the sugar cane harvesters has begun. The use of an automatic pilot in the sugarcane harvest reduces the trajectory error of the sugarcane harvester, which could in turn generate greater cutting performance of the harvesting machine, lower soil compaction, decrease in trampling of the strains, generating less reseeding and renovation of the fields and lower risk of accidents in ditches, drainage channels and posts.

Productivity Maps

The productivity maps are graphical representations of the variations in the productivity of sugarcane cultivation within a lot (luck). To register them, productivity (performance) monitors are installed inside cane raisers or harvesters.
